Past and Future Champs Highlight Moranbah 2024

This weekend racing returns to Moranbah for the 2024 Inspec Industries 150, proudly hosted by Newman Excavations. With 34 crews set for the popular annual event, all eyes will be on past and future champions at Round 6 of the ARB Mickey Thompson Off Road Championship. 

Hosted by the Mackay Off Road Racing Inc, this year’s edition is headlined by defending Moranbah champion Dan Dunn #614, and 2022 victor Kye Camilleri #634 in their respective Class 6 Can Ams.

In another major boost for the event, the top five outright from 2023 including Dunn #614 have all entered this weekend, with Polaris campaigners Tony Patterson #6175, Luke Brandon #690s, Jason Sait #670 and local young gun Trent Callander #127 once again all genuine outright threats. 

Others to watch at Moranbah include local member Drew Callander #99 who finished 3rd outright at Burdekin in May, Warialda’s Derek Rose #62 making the trek up from NSW, Darren Barker #611 who is a serious Class 6 dark horse, and 2022 Dalby winner Stuart Chapman #1014 in his Class 10 Chenowth. 

In the class previews, Mark Andrew #295a, Taylor Teichman #236, Ashton Dale #531, Katelyn Long #6626, Brett Glazebrook #668, Ryland Burt #6169s, Leila Chapman #616s, Ryan Jones #612s, Jack Henderson #807, Jim Zlotkowski #1154, Jason Lavis #1082 and Daniel MacDonald #1052 are notable crews poised for action. 

In exciting news for the future of the sport, offroad newcomer and recent Dalby winner Dexter Warren #6645 will spearhead the largest Future Champions field since its inception in 2021.

Warren will be joined by six fellow competitors at Moranbah including Mitchell Jones #6631, Cameron Krog #6623, Lincoln Wilcox #717, plus young debutants Cash Burt #6671, Rodgie Runnalls #6671a and Jack Musico #6688.

With camping and catering available at Newmans Motorsport Complex, and racing scheduled to commence from 8.30am both mornings; it is set to be another great weekends racing in Queensland. 

The 2024 Inspec Industries 150 takes place this weekend at the Newmans Motorsport Complex, 375 Railway Road, Moranbah.
